Client Survey Results

Each year we survey our client base in order to learn two things about our business: what’s working, and what’s not. The survey is an invaluable opportunity for us to dig into the roots of our clients’ overall experience with our products and services, and determine how we measure up to their expectations. The results help to inform and identify key priorities and resource allotment throughout Monsoon Commerce. We assess our strongest areas to determine if we can apply what’s working there to other areas of the business. Amazon Migrates API to MWS, Deprecates PAAPI

Today Amazon announced that their widely-adopted service, the Product Advertising API (PAAPI), will be heading for the sunset for sellers, and that a new service has been created to take its place: the new Marketplace Web Services (MWS) API. Amazon will deprecate PAAPI by August 31, 2012, and all sellers and service providers who use this service will need to switch over to the MWS API by this time. Continue reading

Monsoon Commerce Customers Outpace Overall Amazon Third-Party Growth in Q4

Predicting the 2011 Holiday Retail Winner

As we near the close of the 2011 holiday shopping season, there is no doubt consumer confidence remains challenged with high unemployment, declining home prices, and continued economic uncertainty.  Nonetheless, a recent article in eCommerceBytes reported ComScore research showing the first 46 days of the 2011 holiday season up 15%  to $30.9 billion.  With mere days remaining in the buying season, it’s clear which online retailers and big-boxers are scoring more than their share of consumer spending.
